Residential Propane FAQ

What size propane tank do I need? +
It depends on what you're running. A 120-gallon tank suits a single appliance like a fireplace or range; 250–320 gallons covers several appliances; a 500-gallon tank is the standard for whole-home heating; and 1000-gallon tanks serve large estates, farms, and high-demand homes. Not sure? A free site survey settles it quickly.
Should I lease or buy my tank? +
Most customers lease. With a lease we own and maintain the tank — covering repairs, painting, and safety checks for a small annual fee, with a lower upfront cost. Buying means you own the tank and can shop for gas, but you're responsible for maintenance and repairs.
How does automatic delivery work? +
Our Auto-Fill program uses your home's usage history — and optional wireless tank monitoring — to predict when you'll need gas and schedule a delivery before you run low. No gauge-watching, no run-outs. Prefer to call it in? Will-call delivery is available too.
Do you install underground propane tanks? +
Yes. We set both above-ground and underground tanks, including the excavation and gas-line run, followed by a full safety check before your first fill.
What areas do you serve? +
We deliver residential propane across Central and Eastern Kentucky from our Winchester, Flemingsburg, and Nicholasville locations — including Frenchburg, Lexington, Paris, Richmond, Georgetown, Mt. Sterling, and the surrounding communities.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency service? +
Yes. After hours, our Winchester line routes to an on-call technician, every day — so if you run out or smell gas, help is a phone call away.
